DMV GovCon Intelligence ("we," "our," or "us") operates the DMV GovCon Intelligence platform at dmvgovcon.com. We help small and mid-sized businesses discover, track, and pursue government contracting opportunities in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide:

  • Account registration data (name, email address, password)
  • Company profile information (company name, certifications, NAICS codes, target states, contract history)
  • Billing information (processed by Stripe — we never store card numbers)
  • Communications you send us

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage data (pages visited, features used, search queries within the platform)
  • Device and browser information
  • IP address and general location
  • Cookies and session identifiers required for authentication

3. How we use your information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the platform
  • Match you with relevant government contracting opportunities using AI
  • Send daily digest emails and important account notifications
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Respond to support requests
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data sharing

We share data only with service providers that help us operate the platform:

  • Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Vercel — hosting and deployment
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • Anthropic — AI-powered opportunity classification and matching

Each provider is contractually bound to protect your data and may only use it to provide services on our behalf. We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect our rights.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or billing purposes.

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Opt out of marketing emails at any time via your profile settings or the unsubscribe link in any email
  • Export your data in a portable format

9. Children

Our service is intended for business use only and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top and notify active users by email for material changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
